Spring Break Plans

Spring Break Plans

As spring break approaches, students around campus grow anxious for the long awaited time off.  While many students go home or vacation with their friends and family, there are so many other fun trips that Purdue offers.  A few of the options are:

Study Abroad: There are so many opportunities here at Purdue to travel the world and earn class credit while you’re at it! The school of Engineering offers short spring break trips such as the Chemical Engineering trip to Colombia or the Engineering Practice and Education trip to India. As an engineer, you aren’t just limited to the trips offered through engineering! There are other great opportunities such as International Marketing in France or Asian Emerging Economies in Taiwan. Look online at https://www.studyabroad.purdue.edu/programs/search_results.cfm for more info about the 2016 trips!

2. Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity is a great organization on campus that works to build simple homes to eliminate poverty houses. Every year for spring break there is a collegiate challenge in different places around the United States. This year the possible build sites are in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. It’s a great way to explore a new place while giving back to society. To learn more visit https://purduehabitat.wordpress.com/

3. Purdue University Ski and Snowboard Club: Go on a fun and adventurous trip and explore the mountains! The PUSSC loads up the buses and heads out west every spring break. This trip is a great way to meet new people while shredding the slopes! This year the club is traveling to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. To learn more visit http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~skiclub/

Wherever you're going for spring break, we hope you have fun!
