I want to work on water purification one day in a developing country, and each course takes me one step closer to that goal.” Best thing about Purdue : “All the opportunities. I can join a club for literally anything I’m interested: helping kids, my faith, dance, engineering. There’s so much help for homework/classes, and everyone is so friendly and helpful - you can ask anyone on campus for directions, etc. and they’ll gladly help.” Fun Purdue Memory : “A fun memory was the first week of freshman year and the craziness of it! There were so many people, such a big campus, so many things to do - it was overwhelming in a great way! Career Fairs: EXPO 2016

Last week at Purdue we had our annual career fair, EXPO 2016 (http://www.purdueesc.org/careerfairs/expo2016/studentcenter/information/).  EXPO is a one day event in which a variety of companies come and recruit for job positions; it was held in Mackey Arena.  For engineering, this is one of the biggest career fairs of the spring semester!  All engineering majors are encouraged to go, as this is a great job recruiting opportunity for any type of engineering.  Over 160 companies came to EXPO this year, with big names such as Honda, Microsoft, PepsiCo, and many more.  To help prepare, the Purdue CCO had many workshop events to help students, such as resume reviewing, elevator pitch practicing, and mock interviews.  In addition, there was a very helpful phone app for the career fair that listed the companies that would be there, provided a map for the event, and provided tips for preparing and going through the career fair.  In addition to EXPO 2016, there a number of other career
