Holiday Season at Purdue

As the semester comes to a close and the holiday season starts up, there are many opportunities for Purdue students to take study breaks to enjoy the events and activities around campus. One way to enjoy the snow and change of weather with friends is to go ice skating at the Riverside Skating Center just near the Wabash River, or stop by Greyhouse for some delicious hot chocolate!

Another way to enjoy the Holiday season is to check out the The Christmas Show put on by the Purdue Musical Organizations. This show takes place annually at the start of December and is an exciting event to see! The link below will take you to their website for more information on the Purdue Musical Organization.

Beginning December 3rd, the Christmas tree is set up in the Union and there are many performances throughout that week. Holidays Around the World takes place that same week to allow students to experience the various celebrations during the Holiday season from around the world. See the link below for a gallery of pictures of the huge tree being brought into the Union and the festivities mentioned.

Jenn and her friends after the Thankgiving dinner Food is an integral part of our day. For some people, the very first thing they do in the morning is eat breakfast. I personally prefer my cup of coffee to a stack of waffles. Nonetheless, food has the power to pick up a bad mood, enhance a good mood, and even ease the stress you are feeling about exams and homework. The awareness I have of how food impacts my mood is recently found since I started college in August. at home I usually came home to my mom or dad making something delicious in the crockpot. Top 10 Extracurriculars Purdue Students Want You to Join Outside of Engineering

1. Purdue University Dance Marathon (PUDM):  The biggest student-run organization on campus! You can join as a dancer, where you get to fundraise leading up to the 18-hour long event or be even more involved and join a committee!
